Sarah Keener
Sarah started dancing at 2 years old at Butterfield Gallerie of Dance in Minneapolis, where she studied jazz, tap, pointe, ballet, modern, lyrical, and contemporary. At age 16, she began training with Poetry in Motion Dance Company as a pre-professional dancer where she apprenticed Ricky Marcelino Palomino and Stacy Boeddeker. During that time, Sarah performed and taught workshops in Kielce, Poland and traveled with Marcelino as his assistant at West Cost Dance Explosion workshops across the nation.
After graduating high school, Sarah was a three year member of the University of Minnesota Dance Team, winning six college national championships. She continued on to work for UMDT choreographer, Karl Mundt, at Innovate Dance where she choreographs All Star teams as well as high school and college dance teams across the country including University of Oregon Dance Team, Champion Legacy in South Dakota, and Fargo North High School Dance Team, Eden Prairie Pom Squad, and more.
Her teaching style challenges students to explore their love for dance through movement, musicality, and performance. Her passion for choreography and creativity in movement fuels her love for teaching all ages and styles.
